| Hi all!
As one of the leading site admins, I welcome you. Let me first tell you a bit about myself. My name is Harry Brochard, and I have served 33 years in the LAPD to this date. For those of you who don't know, the LAPD is Los Angeles' police department in the state of California in the United States. Today, I am retired, and I have spent lots of time on the internet learning marketing, programming, HTML, and graphic design. For those of you who don't know, I met Joe Gutierrez whilst I was serving in the Army, whom I joined up with to make this site. Most people on here see me as a bit gruff - but please, I am really not! Users here seem to like the other admins and especially the mods more - it is because they are nicer? Please let me know!
Unfortunately as usual there are troublemakers everywhere, most don't intend to do harm. Following these simple rules will make sure you are always in good standing. Now let's get the legal stuff over and done with!
Forum rules:
1. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning.
2. Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.
3. Members are asked to not act as “back seat moderators”. If members note an issue which contravenes something in this policy document they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of the Moderator Team. Please use the “post report” feature to report posts. Do not respond to such topics yourself. Members who constantly “act” as moderators may be warned.
4. Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.
5. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permission will receive a warning and their post will be removed. Please note that if you wish to discuss these topics, use the PM feature.
6. Members are asked only to post in English, as this is an English speaking community. Members posting in other languages continuously will be given a warning. Please use the Private Message feature if you wish to talk in another language to any user.
7. Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.
8. Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance. If you wish to promote your Fiverr gig, please use the Gig Advertising Forum. Other than this, most other forms of advertising are not allowed. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed.
9. The admins reserve the right to make any changes to these rules as they see fit without further notice. However, it is common practice that a public notice will be given in order to let the community know.
